Toolkit Review Steering Group

Are you passionate about the development of Maternity Voices Partnerships? Have you been involved in establishing, maintaining or supporting a local MVP or MVPs? If so we’d love to hear from you.

National Maternity Voices is revising our MVP Toolkit and we would like to form a multidisciplinary steering group to oversee this work. We expect this group to meet about 3 times over the coming months.

This group will:

    • review themes from feedback about what the current barriers are to establishing and maintaining effective MVPs and what support is needed.
    • make decisions about what to prioritise in the revised toolkit
    • oversee the cocreation of materials for inclusion in the toolkit
We’d love to hear from anyone who has been involved in establishing, maintaining or supporting MVPs. We are aiming for a diverse membership of the steering group, hopefully to include:
    • service user MVP chairs
    • senior midwife
    • obstetrician
    • CCG staff member
    • LMS staff member
    • NHS regional staff member
    • Regional Service User Voice rep
    • NHSE/I staff member
We can pay involvement payments for service user chair members if you will not have your time covered in any other capacity.
If you’d like to express an interest or to find out more, please contact Hannah Lynes, MVP Support Director, on Please tell us:
    • Why you’d like to join the group
    • Your experience of working in or with MVPs
    • Your NHS region
    • Any other aspect of your experience, circumstances or background that you think will bring a relevant perspective that may not otherwise be included in the group membership.
We are particularly keen to hear from you, if you are from an ethnic minority or/and low income background.
