Bespoke Training

Training can be tailored for clinical staff, commissioners/managers, host organisations, service users or lay leadership, and we particularly recommend bringing all of these people together in a multidisciplinary group. Many people find their MNVP becomes more productive after developing a common understanding in such training.

Sample content for a full day multidisciplinary training :

  • The purpose of a Maternity & Neonatal Voices Partnership, a brief history and recent guidance
  • The importance and value of coproduction
  • How to gather feedback ensuring that all voices in the community are heard
  • Making MNVPs inclusive and diverse and amplifying the voices of Black, Asian, and Minoritised Ethnic groups
  • Membership: who should be a member of your MNVP? How to attract members and who is missing?
  • Exploring barriers to multidisciplinary working and how these can be overcome
  • Reflective practice and what is expected of an MNVP member (service users and health care professionals)
  • Setting priorities and forming workplans

Co-production Training:

“Great training: I enjoyed being in our trust groups…..space for really great discussions and opened communication”

“Learnt a lot about what coproduction actually means”

The co-production training is a powerful learning experience that allows clinicians and service users the time and space to reflect on their barriers to co-production and the strategies to overcome them. This dedicated time allows all involved to truly understand what co-production is and how they can alter leadership styles to move up the ladder of engagement by assessing gaps in their approach and action planning to embed co-production in their everyday business.
