NMV’s peer support groups for MVP/MNVP Chairs/Leads & service user reps

It can be a great help to talk to service user leaders and reps in other parts of the country. Check out the following NMV networking and support groups:

MVP/MNVP Chairs and Service User reps Facebook group is a private peer support group and a fantastic place to connect with other service user reps from across the UK

• To join: 
  • • read the group’s description and rules on Facebook 
    • answer the membership questions after you click the ‘join’ button – requests are not accepted if all questions are not completed

National Maternity Voices Facebook group is a private, multidisciplinary group for all those involved with setting up, developing, running and participating in a Maternity Voices Partnership.

MVP Chairs Facebook group is a private peer support group and communication channel for MVP/MNVP chairs/leads in England, to network and share different approaches to MVP work.

  • • Check the MVP map to make sure your MVP/MNVP’s information is up to date
      • If they are not up to date, complete the update form on the page 
    • read the group’s description and rules on Facebook 
    • answer the membership questions after you click the ‘join’ button – they will be checked against your details on the MVP map

Nova Network is a private and confidential WhatsApp group for  chairs / leads / reps from Black, Asian and other ethnic minority backgrounds involved with MVP/MNVPs at local, regional, and national levels, for peer support to help with navigating sometimes challenging systems.

Local & Regional peer support groups

It’s also useful to network with other MVPs/service users in your Local Maternity & Neonatal System (LMNS) and your region. 

Contact your LMNS MVP representative if you have one, and your regional Service User representative or for information about Whatsapp groups or other social media spaces to network with others in your LMNS and region.
